<p>Seeing how small businesses and the families they support were quickly impacted due to COVID-19. Their call outs for support were very unique to each business. </p>

<h2>What it does</h2>

<p>The site aggregates user submitted small businesses and displays the best way people can support them; including where they need to go and do it. </p>

<h2>How I built it</h2>

<p>I built the initial front end and some friends helped develop a stronger data structure for displaying businesses. </p>

<h2>Challenges I ran into</h2>

<p>Working to get exposure. I&#x2019;m donating my own $, but I&#x2019;m not sure it will be enough. </p>

<h2>Accomplishments that I&apos;m proud of</h2>

<p>We built this site in a weekend. </p>

<p>People are willing to move fast when the project has a good heart. </p>

<h2>What&apos;s next for TipDetroit</h2>

<p>It&#x2019;s not complex, but I would like to open source what we built so other cities and communities can copy and repeat. </p>
